Challenge Dementia Selection Process
Each application is then independently assessed by a panel of assessors against the prize Judging Criteria. The assessors will then make a series of recommendations to the Judging Panel who will consider each application against the same criteria to shortlist the (up to 10) finalists.
Judging and finalists selected
Judges will meet to shortlist the prize finalists on 9 May 2018.
Finalists notified on or before 14 May.
Finalists will attend a 2 day induction event on 31 May and 1 June at the University of Essex.
Submission of business plans
Between May and November finalists will get support from sector leading organisations including PA Consulting and Tech UK to test and develop their ideas further.
Following testing and development, finalists submit a business plan that meets Challenge Statement and the judging criteria in November.
Finalists will also present their plan to a panel of judges.
Judges will select a winner and award £100,000 prize in December.
Taking ideas further
The winner will use the £100,000 prize to put into practise their solution.
